Champagne: 1995 and 1996 Vintages

In my last blog, I wrote about the release of two vintage Champagnes from the 1996 vintage. While most houses have moved on to more recent vintages, there are a few houses whose cuvées demand extra time on the lees. Ruinart is the best Champagne you don't know about.
Distribution in the United States was limited from 2000 to 2005, but with a new importer, the brand was relaunched in 2006. Until then, I hadn’t tasted Ruinart Champagne since 2003. Read more
