Managing My Cellar

Sorting the display
Click on the arrows below any column header to sort your list based on the following criteria: winery, Wine Spectator rating, purchase price, quantity purchased or quantity remaining. If your cellar contains multiple wines from the same winery, they will appear sorted first by alphabetical order, then by most recent vintage to oldest vintage.

Current Value
This figure is the current price multiplied by the quantity remaining.

Updating your entry
Click on the "Edit" link below the name of the winery to change the data for any entry.

Gain/Loss
For My Cellar to calculate the gain or decline in value for a particular wine, you must enter the purchase price and quantity of bottles remaining. A loss is indicated by a figure in parentheses.

Current price
The tool automatically displays the "Current Price" as either the wine's release price or, if it has recently been sold at auction, its average auction price. But you may update the "Current Price" field yourself for wines not rated in our database or recently sold at auction.

Totals
This calculates the total amount you spent on all the wines in your cellar, the total quantity of wines purchased and remaining, the total current value and the total gain or decline in that value.
