Richebourg is one of six grand cru vineyards in Vosne-Romanée, a village in the Côte de Nuits.When asked, "Of all the wines you have tasted at your domaine, which did you like best and why?" Jean-Nicholas Meo of Domaine Méo-Camuzet answered, "There are two wines I especially remember: the Richebourg '90 and the Richebourg '96. These two wines were very generous, balanced, fragrant, seductive, serious. They made me wish I could have either of these wines on my deathbed. I mean, you have an expression in English: "to die for." |
